Tammy has a B.S. in Music Education from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and a M.M. in Music Education fromNorthwestern University.  She received the Jefferson Foundation 2007 My Teacher, My  Hero Award and was selected as a 2006 Denver Post/Starbucks Top Teacher. She was selected as a Summer Music Fellow at Northwestern University, and was selected to Who's Who of American High School Teachers. She has studied with internationally renowned conductors throughout the U.S. and is an active member of Music Educators National Conference, Colorado Music Educators Association, Colorado Bandmasters Association, National Band Association, College Bandmasters National Association, and is a member of Phi Beta Mu. She currently serves on the Colorado Bandmasters Association State Marching Committee and is an Advisory Council Member for the Colorado Conservatory of the Jazz Arts.

 



The focus of music at Bear Creek High School is to create and shape sound, much like an artist working with his/her material. Our artistic material is sound. We shape and create music in our classroom every day, exploring diverse cultures, history and the depth of human emotion.
